Plot: Steve Martin plays C.D. Bales, a small-town fire chief, who falls in
love with the beautiful Roxanne (Daryl Hannah). C.D.'s problem is his
unusually large nose, which stops him from wooing Roxanne himself. When
another firemen confesses that he's interested in Roxanne as well, but
doesn't know how to tell her this, C.D realizes that he can say what he
wants to Roxanne through him. A comedic retelling of the classic Cyrano
de Bergerac, originally written by Edmond Rostand.
