As usual, this is another massively overlong historical epic that probably could've been cut in half and salvaged enough incidents to keep it strong; as it stands, Peter O'Toole, Peter Strauss and David Warner lend it aplomb and the production values help to rise it above the normal made for tv movie. Final Grade: B
