Conquistador epic that is strangely edited and has very odd acting decisions. Robert Shaw is pretty good as Pizarro but Christopher Plummer is horrible as the Inca king. I can’t understand half his lines, even if he was speaking English.

Christopher Plummer gives a flamboyant, interesting performance in this oddly intriguing drama that just doesn't go anywhere. The technical merits are good, but Robert Shaw is wasted. Final Grade: C+
