My low rating isn't entirely due to the subject matter, because I preferred Dusan Makavejev's Sweet Movie to this film. At first it seemed to be interesting, but as the movie progressed it didn't seem like it had much to offer and wasn't very consistent. At times it was way too explicit sure, and I don't recommend watching it with your parents.
