Tiresome thriller with a tired-looking Travolta

Not sure what is going on but this movie really bugged the hell out of me. The acting is actually not terrible. But the writing and direction is so incredibly lackluster.
For what reportedly cost $75M and has two big stars, it feels like such a small inconsequential movie. The production value is no different from a Lifetime movie. And it is barely longer than 80 minutes
It would be one thing if it looked cheap but felt cool and creative. But it does not. This trudges out every cliche in this kind of thriller. We got the sketchy fiance, stupid cops, skeptical ex-wife, sleazy criminal, and the smartmouthed kid. And it is as boring as it sounds.
And it would be forgiven if it was fun. Except it is not because the script does not do anything to subvert expectations or build suspense.
