Finally saw the new live remake of the CGI animated classic “How To Train Your Dragon”, which is perhaps my favorite animated movie of all time. So is the live action movie any good even though it’s pretty much a carbon copy of the animated version both story-wise and visually? Even though
Gerald Butler is in both as Stoic the Vast? Even though the same director directed both movies? The answer is it’s even better than its predecessor! The movie trades some of the kiddy humor for stunningly epic action scenes and visuals. The lead actor also improves the character of Hiccup, and the supporting cast is all solid. And of course the dragon Toothless looks better than ever. Since it’s a live action movie, it has more emotional impact as well. A great movie. I’m …
