Lame mixture of action, fantasy, sci-fi, and western cliches. I wouldn't complain if it was at least fun to watch. But this was a real bore. Aside from one okay fight scene on a rickety cable car over a canyon. The movie is also horrendous to look at. Seriously, this is one of the ugliest looking movies I've seen in a long time. I guess Milla Jovovich and Dave Bautista really needed the money.

Despite coming from a story from Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, this by-the-books post-apocalyptic action film is surprisingly dull. Milla Jovovich - still trying to Resident Evil her way through this mess - has little chemistry with Dave Bautista, who also comes across as deep as a cardboard cut-out. While there are some impressive visuals and interesting concepts - nothing gels and in the end it's just a disappointing adventure.
