Osgood Perkins is a peculiar taste in the horror genre. Keeper has an amazing atmosphere from the music cues to the creepy sounds and the visual effects that hint at something inside the shadows or creeping in the background. It also helps that Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland are great in their respective roles - you just know something is just a little bit off as the story goes on. But Keeper also suffers from a kind of WTF story - including a crazy ending. Is this a cautionary tale against toxic masculinity? Folk horror? Something else? Even if I didn't quite get the message, I still loved the way it was presented.
