Whoever came up with the idea to make the villain from the first movie into a sympathetic anti-hero for the sequel, made a big mistake.

Stephen Lang is as intimidating as ever playing the Blind Man. He's portrayed more as a psychotic vigilante rather than a disturbed villain in this sequel. The violence is extremely graphic even compared to the first movie. The story is very simple (he has to rescue a girl he's become the caretaker of). A little too simple. While it's kind of impressive how gruesome things get, the movie doesn't know when to end and it's a pretty downbeat movie.

Not scary but very noisy, "Don't Breathe 2" trades the inventive premise of its predecessor for the tripe trappings of the overdone "Taken" formula.
