If the humor was any drier, "The Lobster" would suck every bit of moisture from the actors delivering its deadpan dialogue. This off-kilter oddity might be implying that relationships are just a way for society to confine us, but for such a cynical message, Lanthimos delivers it in a way that is a combination of shocking and hilarious.
