While it may be easy to dismiss Ballerina as John Wick... but a girl - it turns out that having the man behind John Wick (that would be Chad Stahelski) come in to fix some issues - early test screenings for the film were apparently quite disastrous - turns this from a spinoff into an action film that can hold it's own against the Wick Juggernaut.

"The Phoenician Scheme" is middle of the road Wes Anderson. The script and style are all over the place. Some scenes gave me a laugh while others just fizzled out with a whimper and left me pondering what the punchline was supposed to be. “Ballerina” is an extremely entertaining spin-off movie set in the John Wick universe between John Wick 3 and John Wick 4. Ana de Armas literally kicks ass as the lead ballerina assassin. The story is creative and fun, and the action sequences are as well done and over the top as any John Wick action scenes.
