Cult fantasy yarn about a vengeful swordsman and his ragtag crew battling an evil warlord. Not only was it made on a shoestring budget but there is one scene where a witch character actually uses what looks like silly string for a spell attack! It is fun to settle in and poke fun at. Jack Palance is in his element as the hammy villain. The lead actor is very boring though. It does seem like they were trying to make a spaghetti western but as a sword-and-sorcery movie. Even the theme music sounds like it''s from one of Clint Eastwood's westerns.
