When you can't relate to any of the characters and the effects are cheesy - you aren't going to get my attention. The attempts to shock are futile as this is a film that just spins its wheels and Eli Roth doesn't help no matter what side of the camera he's helping on. Skip it.

Though competently made and well-acted, Aftershock is an empty, tiresome, and silly exercise in nihilistic horror film making.
