Plot: Kevin Clash stars as Elmo in this film about sharing and viewing trash differently. Elmo loses his blanket after taking it to the city laundromat and fighting with Zoe. As he chases it, Elmo enters Oscar's trashcan and accidentally opens the door to Grouchland. Following the trail of the blanket to a mysterious trashy tycoon, Huxley, (Mandy Patinkin) he is sidetracked into the realm of The Queen of Trash (Vanessa Williams) and learns that he too has been acting like Huxley sometimes. He loses his fight with Huxley when Huxley declares that both the blanket and Elmo are his now, but Elmo is saved by the rest of the Sesame Street gang and the Grouchland Grouches that Oscar is able to organize against Huxley.
