Whenever TWO FOR THE MONEY forgets the plot, and that's often, what keeps it interesting is the back and forth between its two leads. Al Pacino hamming it up is always fun and pre-McConaissance Matthew McConaughey is solid as usual. Jeremy Piven gets some laughs in a bit role. It does feel like a leaner version of ROUNDERS.
