Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy

Last post on 08/07/11 at 09:50 AM CT by Bizarro

Although I'm not a big fan of films with drug-related plots (with the exception of brilliant films like Requiem For A Dream or Trainspotting), this sounds interesting.I'm a fan of Kristin Kreuk, I think she acts amazingly well. Odd choice for casting, but it might turn out to be a breakthrough performance. It's a role she can really sink her teeth into.

Fast Five

Just saw it on Amazon - Oct 04, 2011. - Don't know if they'll come out with a special edition yet or not. The link should be up on the site soon.Fast Five

Bridesmaids (2011)

Last post on 07/07/11 at 03:47 PM CT by Unknown

I'm surprised that I'm one of only two people that have reviewed this movie.  I highly recommend it to everyone.  Best new movie I've seen so far this year!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Last post on 07/03/11 at 09:22 PM CT by Nick

Just make sure everyone who watches it comes on the site and rates it.  It will iron itself out the more ratings it gets.  I guess I should watch it so I can actually give it an honest low rating.

The Hangover Part II

Last post on 07/02/11 at 11:46 AM CT by LeeAnn M.

You are right, people are watching it. The DVD release will push the overall take on the film through the roof. Easily one of the top 5 movies of 2011. That doesn't mean it was a great film, but just entertaining enough to get one's money's worth. I am amazed at the number of adult comedies that came out this year. I still love Bridesmaids. Although Bad Teacher was not perfect, it did provide some good laughs.

Final Destination 5

Last post on 06/28/11 at 04:27 PM CT by Chris Kavan

Whenever a horror franchise says "final" you know they're just yanking your chain - Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter? Even though Saw 3D was also billed as "the Final Chapter" I bet they get around to another one of those too.

Cars 2

Last post on 06/28/11 at 04:23 PM CT by Chris Kavan

Now with Brave, I could see myself going to it - looks like a great story with strong characters and Pixar has finally given the film to a female lead. I think Toy Story 4 would be a bad idea - as much as I enjoy the series, the third one wrapped things up nicely and I don't think it needs another film. Keep coming up with original ideas - it's movies like Up and Wall-E that help enforce the notion that animation isn't just a kids game anymore - sequels, not as much.

Kung Fu Panda 2

Last post on 06/12/11 at 05:36 PM CT by Chris Kavan

The numbers are a little low, but I still think this is going to be worth a watch. I know I would choose this over Cars 2 personally.

X-Men: First Class

Last post on 06/05/11 at 01:19 AM CT by Naveen

Just saw it and I'm glad I did. My new favorite X-men flick and best movie I've seen in theaters this year by far. Go see it now!

Priest (2011)

Last post on 05/28/11 at 09:32 AM CT by Chris Kavan

I got a very Legion vibe from watching the trailers, which is not a good thing. I agree the movie was much too slow for such an outlandish premise - other than that crazy old lady, I can honestly say nothing much else sticks with me from that movie. I'll probably rent Priest some day, but won't see in the theater.

Holy Water

Womb

Last post on 04/28/11 at 12:02 AM CT by KAV213

I wonder if anyone can tell me if this film is going to be released in the U.S.  I'm dying to watch it, but it seems that it's only been released in Russian so far.  I want to buy it, anyone of releases for this? Thanks.

When Harry Tries to Marry

Last post on 04/11/11 at 12:41 PM CT by Chris Kavan

I like the fact that at least a studio is willing to take a chance on something different. I heard this year there are more sequels and remakes than any other year - this at least has originality going for it and I hope it does well.

The Door in the Floor

Last post on 04/05/11 at 02:24 PM CT by brobin23

What does everyone think about him going through the door in the floor in the end - AND - why do you suppose she took ALL of the photographs?

Nuns on the Run

Last post on 03/19/11 at 07:09 AM CT by SIngli6

Only slightly less technically proficient than 'A Fish Called Wanda', 'Nuns on the Run' is nevertheless a witty and delightfully farcical English gem that is in desperate need of broader public exposure.
