War Pigs

Well there are ongoing wars in the world, and new people are being found who are being prosecuted as Nazi criminals, so perhaps their stories are what drives the ideas of the movies.

Mad Max: Fury Road

I watched Mad Max Fury Road last night, its good that its very similar to the older movies they have kept closely to the original idea but I think I need to rewatch it to full understand the plot.

Ex Machina

Amazing. Loved how intimate it was. Basically just three actors giving incredible performances in a highly detailed environment. The questions it asks about AI and the world's future is just incredible. Best Sci Fi movie of the year.

The Visit (2015)

Last post on 05/11/15 at 07:45 PM CT by Chris Kavan

Horror has been on the upswing - The Babadook, It Follows - while I admit that Shyamalan has been mostly disappointing between The Visit and Wayward Pines... maybe I can give him another chance.

Blackhat (2015)

I don't know what's wrong in filming 40 minutes and achieve not a single sec of decency... it was annoying and unbelievably flat. what's wrong with them?!

The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death

Last post on 02/24/15 at 08:40 PM CT by Chris Kavan

I still want to see the original - but I agree, the sequel look tired and trite (my most anticipated horror films I have yet to see are The Babadook and It Follows).

The Canal

Last post on 02/24/15 at 09:12 AM CT by travincal

First quarter of the movie delivers an ok plot, but after, the movie turns out to be a cliche from horror films, clichees so used that I cannot name someting quite...pure. And, it is not borring, because it is annoying with it's: not scary presence of the ghoul, but verry audible screams; running from here to there makes no sense at all, etc. Try something else is my advice.

Actress Anne Marie Nestor stars in the traditional romance film, “Old Fashioned,” which hits theaters today, February 13, 2015. I had a chance to catch up with the actress to find out how her heartbroken character fits into the storyline.

DUDE: Can you share a little about the story and your role in this film?

ANNE MARIE: I join the story as Clay’s (Rik Swartzwelder) college love, Kelly. Recently separated from her husband, Kelly comes back into his life seeking …

Actor John Christopher Morton stars in Caleb Emerson’s latest film “Frankie in Blunderland,” which recently released on DVD. I had a chance to catch up with the actor to find out about playing an alien disguised as a Human Mormon.DUDE: What was your first impression of the script after you read it?JOHN: My first impression was that the script was insane! That wasn't surprising to me,though, since I had seen (director) Caleb Emerson's first film, Die You Zombie Bastards! and I was …

Pretty good mob movie. The 50s and 60s were a great era for actors and actresses, and this film has a fine cast of them. Silva is really dynamite in the title role.

Interstellar

I always think I ramble on a bit - so it's nice to get validation. Given the state of home theater set-up, you this is definitely worth a watch, but IMAX - you can't beat that experience.
