If you're into dark thrillers with a true crime edge, The Company We Keep is worth checking out. The story follows Carter Holcomb (Cary Mark), who moves back in with his abusive mom to try and get his life back on track. But things quickly spiral when college girls in the area start going missing—and one of them shows up hiding in his bedroom.
The movie is creepy in all the right ways and keeps you guessing the whole time. It’s inspired by real-life events, which makes it even more unsettling. Cary Mark delivers a strong performance, making you really feel Carter’s confusion and fear as everything starts to unravel.
This isn’t your typical horror flick—it’s more psychological and suspenseful. If you like shows like Mindhunter or movies like Zodiac, this one’s right up your alley. It’s intense, well-acted, and perfect for a late-night watch if you're in the mood for something dark and twisty.
