It was another banner week for family films (but not the box office), as Hop, the animated/live action Easter bunny tale, opened with a 2011 record-best $38.1 million - just beating out Rango for that distinction. Despite a big advertising push and a lot of buzz, the critically-mauled Sucker Punch was not able to keep up the momentum over the weekend. Instead, the top film for the weekend was Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.
